Who Receives our Handmade Items?

We deliver handmade items to several charities in the Cleveland and Akron area.  Handmade items dropped off to the Euclid, Westlake and Twinsburg Chapters are delivered to these charities.

Volunteers Needed

We welcome volunteers to help 

  • Sort Donations

  • Organize the Fabric Stash Store

  • Cut fabric and assemble Charity Kits

  • Pick up Charity Kits to sew at home

  • Attend a Sew 4 Service Day

  • Take home items to wash

  • Teach classes or clubs

Sign up to Volunteer using our Creators Club App or on our Booking Calendar.

This Chapter accepts donations of fabric, yarn, notions, supplies and sewing machines.

We teach classes and host community sewing events.

The Fabric Stash Store sells donated fabric, yarn and supplies at bargain prices.

Sew 4 Service Day

Join us while we Sew 4 Service. Come for any part of the day and help us sew handmade items for local charities. Bring your own sewing machine and supplies, and a lunch and beverage. We will provide the charity kits and help teach you how to make market bags, pillowcases or other handmade items that are currently needed.

Donate

Crocheting and Knitting Clubs

Join our group of crocheting and knitting enthusiasts. We visit nursing homes and libraries to lead crocheting and knitting clubs.  You don't need to be an expert to help someone learn or to encourage them to express their creativity.  Contact us for more information.

Rent a Machine

Community Sewing Open Studio

Join our group of sewing teachers that help others learn to sew.  Community Members are invited to come use our sewing machines, supplies and space to work on their personal sewing projects.  Teachers help members as they have questions.  Contact us for more information.

Join us for a special Afternoon Tea in the elegant Candoren Guest House in Painesville. Dress in your Sunday best as you enjoy sandwiches, scones, desserts and tea while visiting with friends and family. Seating is limited, so reserve your seat now. All ages are welcome!

 

There will be raffle baskets, so bring some extra cash for raffle tickets. $25 of every ticket will be applied toward a tax deductible donation to Sew4Service. We are excited to welcome you and your guests to this beautiful event!

 

Tickets are $55 per person. Tables will seat up to 6 people. Reserve a whole table for $300.

Come join us and learn how to make quilt blocks using fabric scraps.

We welcome beginners and experienced sewists. We also need help with cutting and ironing.  We will supply ironing and cutting stations and all charity kits.

 

Please bring your own sewing machine including cords and foot pedal, thread, pins and scissors.

Come when you can and stay as long as you would like. Bring a lunch and beverage.
