Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are invited to come anytime on Tuesdays from 10am - 4pm. Sign up to Volunteer using our Creators Club App or on our Booking Page.

We need volunteers to:

  • Sort Donations

  • Teach Sewing and Crocheting

  • Help Mend Clothing

  • Work with adults and children

This Chapter offers sewing, crocheting, and mending programs to local low income and unhoused community members. 

Hours:  Tuesdays

1st Tuesday of each month

Mending Dignity Program, 10am - 2pm 

Bring your clean clothing items that are in need of repair and our volunteers will mend your clothes for you.  Simple mending examples are a small tear or rip, a missing button, a damaged zipper, a simple hem.

2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month

Community Sewing and Crocheting Open Studio, 10am - 2pm

Use our space, supplies, and sewing machines to work on your personal sewing and crocheting projects. Sewing Coaches will be available to answer questions and offer guidance.

Location: Malachi Center

                   2416 Superior Viaduct, Cleveland, OH 44113

Donations:  4th Friday of the month, 10am - 2pm

We accept donations of sewing and crafting related items. Examples include fabric, yarn, zippers, elastic, velcro, sewing supplies, paper crafts, glue, scissors, foam, polyfil, batting, markers, crayons.
