What is the Difference Between a Charity Sewing Day, Open Studio Class, and Paid-for Classes?
Charity Sewing / Crocheting / Knitting Day Event

These are Free Events where people gather to make handmade items.

Some events focus on sewn items, others focus on crocheting or knitting.

Sometimes you bring your own sewing machine and sometimes there are machines available to use.

Supplies, kits, patterns, and fabric are provided.

Handmade items will be delivered to local agencies in need of these items.

These events are often led by volunteers or funded through local grants.

These are Free Classes offered in several locations.

You can bring your personal projects or your sewing machine.

You are able to use our space, cutting station, ironing station, sewing machines and sewing supplies.

A good way to start is to organize a Charity Sewing Day Event at a local library, church or community center.

Contact a Local Agency to see what types of items are needed

Ask for donations of supplies to make those needed items. Good places include FB Free Pages, Local Newspapers, Local Sewing Groups
