Volunteer In-Person

  • Help Sort Donations and Organize items in a Fabric Stash Store

  • Help cut fabric and assemble Charity Kits

  • Use a Longarm Quilting Machine to finish quilt tops for local agencies

  • Represent Sew4Service at a Community Event

  • Help facilitate a Large Group Service Day Event

  • Attend a New Volunteer Orientation

Registering Online to Volunteer will automatically apply 4 volunteer hours to your account. If you do not register online you can still add your hours to the paper volunteer form when you volunteer in-person.

​

For every 25 hours you volunteer (in-person, at home, at an event) you will be able to redeem a $5 credit toward a purchase in any Fabric Stash Store or for a Class.​

Junior Volunteers

Students ages 13–17 are welcome to become Junior Volunteers at Sew4Service!

 

Whether you're looking to earn school or community service hours, explore sewing and fiber arts, or simply give back to your community, we offer a variety of meaningful volunteer opportunities.

 

Junior Volunteers may assist with organizing and sorting donated materials, preparing project kits, helping in our Fabric Stash Store, or supporting other projects as needed. Students who already know how to sew may assist with appropriate sewing projects, while beginners can often learn basic sewing skills while helping with selected projects.

All prospective Junior Volunteers should attend an orientation and meet with the Chapter Coordinator to discuss their interests, experience, service hour requirements, and available volunteer opportunities. During this meeting, we'll determine the best volunteer role and whether the student will need to be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult while volunteering.

 

Our goal is to provide a safe, educational, and rewarding experience where students can build new skills, serve their community, and make a positive impact.
