All of the items in our Fabric Stash Retail Stores have been donated to Sew4Service. Many of these items are new in packaging or in like new condition. The fabric and yarn is like new in that is has not yet been used in a project. We have many quality brands of fabric, yarn and supplies. Our staff members review all donated items and only stock sewing supplies that are of good quality and useful to our customers.
We are unable to provide a refund for items that have been purchased in our Fabric Stash Store. All sales are final.
Yes, gift certificates may be purchased on our website and in person, and are good to use in the store and for classes.
Most fabric is priced at $5/yard. Name brand quilting cotton is priced a bit higher due to its quality.
We have a wide variety of supplies. Thread, buttons, zippers, elastic, velcro, interfacing, stabilizer, pillow forms, iron on patches, embroidery floss, hand sewing and machine needles, pins, and many other sewing notions and supplies.
Our staff members and volunteers work hard to sort incoming donations to select items most useful in making handmade items for local agencies, select items best sold in the store, and select items for special projects.
Items that are damaged, soiled, have an odor or are no longer useful are discarded.
We display items for sale that are still packaged, like new or new condition, and of highest quality to provide you the best sewing supplies at the best prices.
Selling sewing supplies in our Fabric Stash Stores enables us to fulfill two of our mission goals.
The first goal is to divert sewing supplies from a landfill and find a good use for these supplies.
The second goal is to provide low cost access to quality sewing supplies for our customers, sending supplies from our Fabric Stash to yours.
But accepting and sorting donations of sewing supplies requires dedicated staff and volunteers as well as space to sort and display the donations.
Proceeds from Fabric Stash Store Sales help to pay the rent for the space and a wage for our staff members who are committed to providing excellent customer service and individualized attention.
Yes, we sell sewing machines, sergers and embroidery machines which have been donated to us.
Our trained staff and volunteers clean, service and evaluate each donated machine. Those that are in good working condition are available for purchase.
Each machine is covered under a 30 day warranty. If it has any problems, return it to us for additional repair or replacement with a similar machine.
Yes, we clean and service most sewing machines, sergers, and embroidery machines. Our trained staff will clean, service and evaluate your sewing machine. The base fee for a cleaning is $75. If your machine requires additional repair or parts, we will call you first for approval.
You can drop off your sewing machine at any of our chapter locations.
Please allow 2 - 3 weeks for your machine to be ready for pick up.
Yes, as a registered store with North East Ohio Regional Quilt Council (NEORQC) we are on the list of approved stores for their shop hop. Stop in, bring your card, and we will stamp it.
Yes. When you check out, tell the staff member which organization you represent and that the organization is tax exempt and the staff member will be able to remove the tax from that sale.
