Board Members
Founder, Executive Director
Lucy Kulbago
Lucy taught herself to sew and quilt, sparking a lifelong passion for creating meaningful, handmade items. Over the years, she has made numerous quilts to celebrate special moments for family and friends. After more than 20 years of teaching math and science, Lucy chose to channel her energy into charity work and founded Sew4Service. Her vision was to build a community of service-minded individuals while connecting with local charities in need of handmade items. Drawing on her teaching background, Lucy brings patience, organization, and encouragement to the Sewing Studio, where she offers a variety of sewing, quilting, and crocheting classes. She is also an active member of the Cotton Candy Quilt Guild and is deeply grateful for the positive and supportive community it provides.
Director of Finance
Tim Kulbago
Tim is a long-time executive in healthcare and life sciences. He has held several board positions, including Incarnate Word Academy in Parma Hts. and Image IQ. While he doesn't spend time in the sewing room, he does appreciate the warmth a handmade quilt provides on a chilly evening. He also enjoys time on the golf course and jet skiing on Lake Erie.
Director of Compliance and Governance
Clare Long
Clare learned to sew at a very young age with her Grandmother on a treadle sewing machine. By age 10, she was setting in zippers and designing Halloween costumes for her entire family. Clare caught the quilting bug about 30 years ago and is a member of the North Coast Needlers Quilt Guild and Threads of Love. Her favorite types of quilts to make are scrappy and those made from recycled clothing. Clare is an attorney and finds sewing and quilting to be great stress relievers.

Jessica Kulbago
Jessica graduated from Kent State University with a degree in computer information systems and is currently working at RoviSys. She enjoys sewing and crocheting as well as caring for her cats. She enjoys designing new projects and teaching fun classes like stuffed llamas and giraffes. She is a member of the Cotton Candy Quilt Guild and helps guild members overcome technological hurdles.

Martha Cromleigh
Martha is currently the Volunteer Coordinator at Malachi House and brings her compassion and love for helping others to this role.
Director of Charitable Contributions
Beth Hodges
Beth is an avid crafter who has be tangled in yarn and fabric as long as she can remember. She's a materials engineer with degrees from CWRU and UMass Amherst working in the steel industry overseeing quality labs. She's excited to use her skills and experience in support for Sew4Service's work. When not working, crafting, or volunteering, Beth can be found catching up with her family on the farm, hanging with her cat Rose, doing yoga, or playing the bassoon or mountain dulcimer.

Declan Rohrs
Declan is currently earning his Masters of Urban Planning and Development at Cleveland State University. He can often be found customizing his clothes via machine sewing, and hosting 'art night' whenever possible. At Sew4Service, he has found the intersection of his love for community and craft.

Michelle Lutz
Michelle is currently the Euclid Chapter Coordinator and one of our Teachers. She is a gifted artist with many years of experience creating and teaching. She enjoys hand sewing and embroidery and creates beautiful pieces for herself and others.

Jenny Rohrs

I'm a passionate crafter with a knack for creating and facilitating online communities. I shine when I can share my enthusiasm for products and craft techniques in print, online, behind a podium and in front of a camera. I'm a dynamic speaker that loves to encourage and nurture individuals and groups in their creative paths.

Kelleen Davis
After thirty-four years of teaching, Kelleen Davis, a recently retired Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) educator, brings a wealth of knowledge and a true passion for sewing and service to Sew 4 Service.
Now enjoying her retirement, Kelleen continues to share her skills and enthusiasm by working alongside community members and college students at the University of Mount Union. Her dedication to mentoring the next generation and giving back to the community makes her a natural fit for our mission.
With a deep-rooted love for education, creativity, and community involvement, Kelleen brings warmth, wisdom, and energy to every project. We’re thrilled to have her on board as we continue making a difference—one stitch at a time.

By trade I’m a Journeyman Tool and Die Maker, I’ve worked in places like NASAs Glenn Research Center, Alcoa, and a handful of smaller Aerospace companies.
By description I’m a Nerdy, Queer, Crow-like Chaos Goblin, I enjoy many fiber arts and include them in my two favorite hobbies, Cosplay, and Sword Fighting!
I began garment sewing as a kid who wanted to dress up as their favorite anime character in 2009, while I wasn't exactly skilled it started a lifelong love of sewing. I started crocheting much more recently in 2025 and have already incorporated it into as much of my life as possible. I’m eager to learn as many things as I can and always encourage others to do the same!

Laya Milner
Hi! I’m Laya. I am a freshman at Cleveland State University, majoring in Business and Entrepreneurship! One thing I like about Sew4Service is the warm, family-like environment! I also love crafting, and if you do, this is your place!
Florence Chapter Coordinator
Russ Beasley
Russ has been a nurse for many years. His nursing career relocated him to Tucson, Arizona, where he became very involved with the Tucson Quilters Guild. After almost a decade of being self-taught, Russ relearned quilting basics and best practices from guild members that are International Show Quilt Winners, published quilting authors, and teachers.
Russ truly enjoyed the "Quilting for Others" committee of the Tucson Guild. In 2023 Russ relocated to his home town of Florence, AL to care for his parents. Still working full time ,he began teaching at a local quilt store, but missed the community of the "Quilting for Others". In his quest to establish a local version, he discovered Sew4Service and is organizing Charity Sew Days in North Alabama with the hopes of new Chapters across the South East.
Open Board Positions
We are looking for board members with experience with human resources and retail store management.
