Intro to Pattern Reading


Service Description

This beginner-friendly class introduces how to read and use a sewing pattern for your first apparel project. It covers finding patterns, choosing the right size and materials, fabric layout and cutting, understanding pattern pieces and instructions, basic fitting, and common seam finishes and closures. Students can bring their own patterns to discuss, and the instructor will provide hands-on examples for a sample garment, though no finished garment will be made in class.

Cancellation Policy

There must be at least 2 people registered for a class, or the class may be canceled or rescheduled. The teacher will decide whether or not to cancel a class 48 hours before the class starts, and will notify those signed up if the class is canceled. If you signed up and paid for a class but have to cancel for any reason, you will receive a credit for a future class within 60 days. There are no refunds for classes. Contact the teacher when you are ready to reschedule or reschedule online.
