Did you know?
Sew4Service currently has over 100 quilt tops that have been generously donated and are ready to be quilted. We take pride in being the only organization we're aware of that accepts donated quilt tops and will complete them for charitable organizations in our community. Most organizations only accept finished quilts.
The cost for lap size quilt batting is approximately $10, while twin size batting is around $20. Recently our quilting volunteers have been completing between 3 to 5 quilts each week. While donations of batting scraps are beneficial for smaller projects, they present challenges when using our long-arm quilting machines which means that we need to purchase batting by the roll.
You can support Team Sew4Service in conquering the Quilt Tops by contributing to our Step Up to Bat for Batting Fundraising Campaign, which runs from April 1 to May 30. Our goal is to raise $3,000 to cover batting costs for the rest of 2025 so that we can get these quilts in the hands of those who need their warmth and comfort.
Here are ways you can support the team.
Contribute UPC codes from a package of HOBBS batting (no other brand.) For every 5 collected, we get a discount on batting.
Contribute the price of a soft drink: $5
Contribute the price of a hot dog and beer: $12
Contribute the price of a seat in the outfield: $30
Contribute the price of a seat behind home plate: $50
Hit a home run for the team: $100
Financial donations may be tax deductible.
Donations can be dropped off at any of our three Fabric Stash Stores, completed online, or mailed to Sew4Service at the following address:
